Comparison among traditional surfactant, amino acid surfactant and APG surfactant
1. Soap Base Surfactant
As one of the earliest facial cleansing ingredients, it has extremely strong cleaning power and can easily remove too much oil from the skin's surface. This results in skin feeling refreshed and particularly clean shortly after washing. However, it can also lead to dryness and tightness of the skin, and due to excessive cleansing, it may weaken the stratum corneum (outer skin layer).
2. Amino Acid Surfactant
Amino acid surfactants are among the most common cleansing ingredients on the market, known for their excellent skin compatibility. With a mildly acidic pH, they are gentle and comfortable on facial skin and suitable for most skin types. Cleansing products containing amino acid surfactants do not cause a tight or dry feeling after use and do not damage the skin with long-term use.
3. APG Surfactant
APG surfactants are known for their excellent safety, mildness, and cleaning capability, minimizing skin irritation. Compared to soap-based and amino acid surfactant cleansers, APG cleansers are relatively gentle, making them very suitable for sensitive skin. They also have excellent skin compatibility, leaving the skin feeling non-tight after cleansing, with moderate cleaning power, thus avoiding damage to the skin's natural protective layer.

APG surfactant could be applied for below industries
1. Daily Chemical Industry
APG surfactant, as a purely natural surfactant, is widely used in the daily chemical field due to its excellent performance. In skincare, products like facial cleansers and creams formulated with APG are stable in performance, significantly enhancing moisture retention and providing low-irritation, non-toxic, and skin-softening benefits. In detergents, APG-based dishwashing liquids offer stable foaming performance, strong stain removal capabilities, minimal skin irritation, are non-toxic, and easy to rinse off. In laundry agents, APG can be used to formulate laundry products that effectively remove sweat and oil stains while also providing softness, anti-static, and anti-shrinking properties, unaffected by hard water.
2. Industrial Cleaning
APG surfactant remains stable in strong alkalis and high-concentration electrolytes and is easily biodegradable, causing no environmental pollution. Thus, it is suitable for metal surface treatment, industrial bottle washing, and cleaning of transportation vehicles.
3. Food Industry
APG surfactant, with its excellent hydrophilicity, can be used as an emulsifier in food production, enabling the dispersion of oils and water complexes. It has foaming, defoaming, sugar inhibition, fat inhibition, and anti-coagulation properties. It also helps mix food ingredients evenly during production, improving taste and texture.
4. Agriculture
APG surfactant features adjustable HLB values, biodegradability, and does not pollute crops and soil. It exhibits excellent hygroscopic and moisture-absorbing properties, making it suitable as an emulsifier for aqueous pesticide solutions. It can adjust soil moisture and enhance the cost-effectiveness of herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides.
